Creative words
By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible (God’s words). Hebrews 11:3
I always heard that God made all of creation out of nothing. That some how things just started appearing, and that is kind of what happened. However, nothing would have been created or come into existence if God had not given the words. Like a commanding officer in the military gives a command and then it is executed by the troops that receive the command and bring it into existence, God spoke words and pulled creation out of the unseen world into the seen. That is where we live, the seen world. Everything we can see in the world today, existed in the unseen realm before God spoke it into this world.
Today’s scripture say we understand this principle by faith, and what we understand and believe by faith is that God did not create the world out of nothing, He created the world with creative faith filled words so that things that are now seen came from things that we as people could not see before.
This is essentially what we do when we go to God in prayer. We are asking our Father in Heaven to change what we can see in this world by bringing an answer from heaven (another world). When we combine our faith with God’s words of scripture, we can apply this same principle. Speaking God’s words over a situation brings a supernatural change to the current seen circumstance.
A clear example of this process is what happens at the point of salvation. When a person comes to the point of recognizing they need a Savior, they take the word of God that says: Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, then you will be saved from eternal separation from God (Romans 10:9). You spoke the words and brought eternal results that changed your current circumstances forever. No one else could speak those words for you and change your life. You are the only one who can choose and speak faith filled words over your life to bring the unseen world into your natural world. Then you were made into a brand new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17).
So today I want to encourage you to begin to speak faith filled words over your life and the lives of those you love. Prayer is a creative force that can change every area that we apply it to. As a born again child of God, you are given the power and privilege of pulling down supernatural results form the heavenly realm, all it takes is spending some time talking to your loving Father and speaking some of His faith filled words over your life. This is what it means to cover someone in prayer. As you pray and speak God’s words, you are bringing into the natural world supernatural results.
