When will it end?

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:14

Surly we live in a day that the gospel of the kingdom of God is being preached in all the world?  Travel is available like never before; communication is easier than ever before and translating over different languages is within the reach of every individual.  The message of God’s love for the world and His provision of salvation is spreading faster than it ever has in history.

You are here specifically for this time and for this purpose.  You have a part in the kingdom message to share with everyone within your reach.  Whether sharing a website or online message, inviting neighbors to service with you or sending words to encourage a friend through a text, you can do your part.  Especially at this time of year.  Easter is one of the greatest opportunities to impact the world around you and the reason is because this is the time of year that we celebrate Jesus paying the price for our ransom and rescuing us from an eternity separated from the One who loves and the One we have been born of.

The end will come for everyone one day.  Maybe it won’t be when Jesus comes back to get His people, maybe it will be when you close your eyes for the last time and say goodbye to this world.  We do know what is next on God’s calendar.  It is the day that He takes us to be with Him before that great and terrible day.  The Great Tribulation.  I for one am glad that I don’t have to face that day and I hope you will not be left to live through it either.

My encouragement today is to step into the greatest ministry of all time by doing your part of sharing with your world the message of salvation.  Look for opportunities to share God’s love and love the people around you.  Let them see the goodness of God, your Heavenly Father in your life each day and when they ask why you are so blessed, tell them how God’s blessing flow because you have opened the door to Him in your life.  If you have never received this great gift from God, do it today.  He will come into your life and guide you through the struggles that come from day to day living.  He will lead you to others that you can help and encourage along the way, and He will keep you close when you feel like you are all alone.  Invite Him into your life today and be transformed into a new person born again in His arms of love.

Pray: God in heaven, I know I’m a sinner and I need a Savior.  I want to turn away from my sinful life to the life You have planned for me.  Please forgive my sins, cleanse me from my past, and make me new.  I know Your Son, Jesus died for me.  I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead.  At this very moment, I accept, confess, and proclaim Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior . . . to be Lord of my life from this day forward.  I now have a right relationship with God my Father through this salvation in Jesus. I thank You for giving me Your Holy Spirit to guide me and to empower me to do the things that You have planned for my life in Jesus’ name, Amen

Today’s scripture reading: Matthew 24:1-14

1 Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple.

2 And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”

3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.

5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.

6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.

10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.

11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
